The two women who run the place, Eula and Melane, are an outstanding team and are passionate about assuring that everyone has a good time and that their needs are met. The arrangement they have with Welcome Car Rental adds to the overall service experience. We were greeted at the airport by a Welcome agent, taken to the hotel and our rental car was parked outsideÉ.There were no extra charges or feesÉ.We stayed 10 days, met with either Eula or Melane each morning to get suggestions for beaches and restaurants to visit, which was a lot better than theÉconcierge service you get at a big hotel. When we left, the car rental agent picked us up at the hotel and delivered us right to the gate of our flight, absolutely no hassle."

If you choose to rent a car, the hotel will arrange it with Welcome car rental which has reasonable rates and flexible pick up/drop off. They will even deliver the car to the hotel and bring you to the airport on your departure. The staff is genuinely welcoming and available, without being intrusive. The rooms are impeccable and comfortable with small fridge, television, phone and wi fi....comfortable for singles, as well as couples. I cannot say enough about this delightful hotel!"

Dennis was a gracious host throughout our stay and spent the evenings chatting with us about the rich history of the island....Melane made sure our immaculate rooms were in perfect order.... Everyone associated with the hotel proved time and again that they genuinely cared about us....The hotel...is perfect for travelers...looking for relatively inexpensive accommodations on St. Barts. The entire hotel was very clean and the contemporary rooms are well designed and functional.... conveniently located within walking distance of two grocery stores, an excellent bakery, several restaurants and Lorient beach....I have never received better service at another hotel, whether it be a Ritz Carlton [or] Four Seasons...."

The service was impeccable and Wendy...and Melane...were wonderful and helpful in every way possible. This boutique hotel/bed and breakfast is located...about a 5 minute drive to Saline Beach. There are grocery stores and a bakery within walking distance from Normandie. A breakfast consisting of a bread basket, coffee/tea, juices is also included in the incredibly affordable rate. If I return to St. Barts this will definitely be my hotel of choice! My group and I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel!"

09/10/09 e12333 St. John "Hip hotel, perfect location--loved it!!" "Ahhh--a really great hotel experience! I checked in a day early and the staff was so accommodating they 1) knew my name upon arrival 2) hustled to get my rental car delivered a day early. Quite impressed from the get-go. The hotel itself is small and unassuming but very modern and VERY clean, with a hip, friendly vibe. Lots of smiles! The rooms are small but there's no wasted space and you will not lack for any important amenity. The continental breakfast was something I looked forward to every day--a bread basket, different each morning, quality jams and butter, and very good coffee and juices. I always ate by the pool and developed a cordial relationship with the other guests. The sheets are crisp percale, the vanity items are of a high quality, towels clean and fluffy, huge showerhead, nice flat screen TV on the wall, near-silent AC and wifi in each room. The location is spot-on: mid-island and halfway between anywhere you'd want to be. 2 min. walking distance to a great beach, boulangerie, gas station, supermarkets and restaurants. The pool is small and zen-like....The rates are excellent. It truly was a close-to-perfect experience."

I was so pleased when I checked in and saw that everything is as it is on the website. My room (aka the Captain's room) was simply charming and I loved the little porch attached to it. The complimentary glass of wine set my weekend off perfectly!...I would highly recommend a stay at the Hotel Normandie! Great location, a perfect home base for all your St. Barts explorations!
