The Hotel's bedrooms and bar / salon area have been totally renovated. The guest rooms are in two buildings which are connected by a new and large deck of exotic Brazilian wood surrounding the Hotel pool, set in a tropical garden environment with contemporary-styled chaise lounges nestling among the foliage and in large open spaces.

The Normandie is about 100 yards (a two minute walk) from St. Barths' beautiful Lorient beach, one of the most popular surfing venues and a beach widely used by families of the island. It also is within walking distance to restaurants offering both "casual eating" and "fine dining" and other local conveniences. The island's noteworthy shops for jewelry, clothing, cigars, and other luxury products are a short drive from the Normandie, and it is centrally located to St. Barths' numerous exquisite beaches, including "Saline," widely known as the "nude" beach.

Amenities at the Normandie, which offers a glimpse of life aboard France's great luxury ocean liner, the S S Normandie, include WiFi, flat screen plasma TVs (with French and US channels), telephones, air conditioning, and refrigerators in all rooms, elegantly styled bathrooms with luxury soaps and bathing items, individual "waffle-weave" robes embroidered with the Hotel's logo, pillow-top Queen-size mattresses, fine linens . . . and much more.

Room prices include Continental breakfast and complimentary wine in the afternoon. Every effort is being made to make the Hotel "green" in keeping with the island's sensitive environmental standards.

Because the Normandie long has been associated with affordable accommodations, the new owners have maintained it as a "value" hostelry. Prices vary throughout the year, according to the season, between 90 – 165 Euros per night (rates are separated between "single" and "double" occupancy; Christmas / New Year rates will be higher).
